I have been babysitting since I was a young teenager. One of my first babysitting experiences was assisting a mother with her two premature twin daughters while her husband was on a Guard Duty. I have since babysat for several families from the time their oldest child was an infant until they had 3-4 children in the family, in addition to many other families for more short-term care. Additionally, I have worked in church childcare, substitute teaching, and as a teacher for students in grades K-12. I have been working as a teacher locally since October 2011. While I enjoy teaching and find seeing students learn very fulfilling, I am looking at transitioning to a nanny position (or a combination of nanny positions) for better work-life balance since I now have children at home. I am regular trained in parenting strategies as well as CPR and water safety courses through Read more my role as a foster parent. I am also open to occasional babysitting.

Allen was fabulous! My 2 cats loved her from the moment she walked in the door. She was prompt and texted after every visit with our cats. We returned to a clean liter box and 2 well fed cats. The next time we are out of town, Allen will be the first person I will call to cat-sit for us!

We were very pleased with Allen. She was personable as well as professional on all visits and phone conversations. We were having a small problem in our home as we left that may have caused others to refuse our employment, but Allen was very understanding and even helped solve the problem while we were away. Our three cats (and our home) were extremely well looked after and seemed to thrive in our absence. She was also open to small tasks that sometimes go forgotten when out of town and helped us immensely. We would certainly use her services again and give her name to others as well. Thank you so very much to Allen (and this website) for everything.

Allen did a wonderful job watching my child in the evening and overnight. She was professional and assisted with his school work as necessary. I would use her services again and highly recommend Allen to others.
