With 13 years of childcare experience, I have gained a lot of experience with children of many different personalities and needs. Babysitting to me is ensuring the your child knows I am a friend he/she can trust while you are out of the house and someone who is there to spend time with him/her. I also want you, the parents, to be able to rest easy knowing your kids are safe and your home will be taken care of. Throughout my many years of babysitting, I have maintained connections with families and watched children grow into young adults. I first started regularly babysitting for a family in my neighborhood when I was in seventh grade. From there, I began to would babysit my younger brother, his friends from school, and other children around the neighborhood. I volunteered in my church nursery throughout high school and college. Along with babysitting, I Read more have also worked at a children’s birthday party center, as a nanny to a family of four, and as the lead teacher at a daycare center. Even while pursuing my law degree, I would continue babysitting occasionally, including several 3-4 day overnight stays, and I volunteered as a CASA in Jefferson County. My years of experience have helped me become more proficient with meal prep, creating engaging activities, educational advancement, conflict resolution, time management, and home organization.
