My family knew I had a passion for taking care of children when I was very young. I have been around children my entire life since my dad is a Pediatric Physician, as well as an Emergency Room physician, and I spent many of my sick days growing up in his office with him. I have been taking care of children since the sixth grade (I've been an aunt since 12 years of age) and I started nannying in high school. I am first aid and CPR trained, on infants as well. I have done life guard training and I do know how to give swim lessons safely. I studied at the University of Alabama for Early Childhood Education, I did not finish my degree as the administration and senior seminars broke me. I believe strongly in positive reinforcement as well as nurture being the best ways to help young Read more minds flourish. This involves having a very patient and mild temper, which I luckily have. I enjoy the Montessori approach to child care as it allows children to learn how to be independent with the help of a care giver as well as helping them boost their own self-confidence. I have two dogs myself so I wouldn't be bothered by pets. I do have a full time job during the week so I’m only available on after 5 on weekdays or on weekends. If you'd like to know anything else, send me a message.
