part time sitter needed for autistic boy

Posted by Laura B. on 5/18/2024

  • 1 child (Elementary)
  • $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

My son is 8 years old. He has autism and developmental delay. He is mostly nonverbal. He easily warms up to new caregivers and is very sweet but also a handful because he is very hyperactive. He likes to listen to music, play outside, and do puzzles. He needs to be supervised at all times for his safety. We also have two large dogs. One of them is training to be my son's service dog.

The schedule is every Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00pm to 9:30pm and every other Friday from 4:00pm to 9:30 pm + Saturday and Sunday. He needs to be picked up from summer camp at 4pm and brought home. I could also use help taking him to camp on Thurday and Friday mornings for 9:00am. I am open to hiring someone who can only work weekends or only weekdays. There is an option for a higher rate of pay for a long-term sitter
